Most Brainrot Tower Defense codes die quietly after a weekly patch. Shock Wave Studio and Lightning Dragon Limited rotate short meme words, holiday names, and event tags. When a string expires, Redeem returns an error and the Gems are gone for every account that did not claim them in time. This page is the deny-list as of September 2026 so you stop typing dead words into the gift box.

Expired list (do not redeem)
These codes no longer work. They are listed in one block so you can skim, not so you can retry them:
goat, sakura, hi, coffin, ttt, block, bike, taco, rail, tictac, sahur, index, zombie, hallo, act4, fish, christmas, newyear, freeaura, FanumAteAura, EMP, Macedonia, challenge, dindin, hotspot, SigmaToilet, Spaxy.
Case does not save them. Hallo, HALLO, and hallo are all dead. Mixed-case strings such as FanumAteAura and SigmaToilet are dead in every capitalization. EMP and Macedonia are dead even though they look like patch tags.
If you already redeemed one of these while it was Active, you keep the Gems. Expiry only blocks new claims. There is no mailbox recovery and no Discord ticket that restores an expired code.
Why Shock Wave Studio kills codes
Weekly updates are the main reason. The Roblox place promises a weekly patch cadence, and promo strings are a cheap way to mark a content drop. After the weekend traffic spike, old codes are disabled so the next drop feels new. Holiday codes (christmas, newyear, hallo) follow the calendar, not your playtime. Event names (sakura, zombie, hotspot, challenge) die when the event map leaves rotation.
Some strings were always short-lived jokes (goat, hi, taco, bike, rail, tictac). Others were unit or meme references (sahur, coffin, SigmaToilet, FanumAteAura). None of them return just because a creator filmed a 2025 redeem video. Treat creator descriptions as historical, then confirm against this wiki after the next weekly update.
How to tell expired from Check
The Codes Hub marks two strings as Check: oneyear (5K Gems) and tv (300 Gems). Check means we cannot swear they still work on every account as of 12 September 2026. Try each once. A clean error moves them onto this expired page in a later edit. Spamming Redeem does not help.
Confirmed Active as of that same check: wave (1000 Gems), shock (1000 Gems), and bbtd (300 Gems, the official RELEASE CODE on the Roblox page). If a site still lists ttt or block as working, that site is stale. ttt and block are on this deny-list.
What to do instead of retrying
Open the gift icon only for Active or Check codes. Then spend the Gems on boosted Secret banners and trait rerolls, not on leftover Legendaries from an old thumbnail. Gem Spending and Summoning exist so expired-code Gems still convert into Secrets and Mythics.

Common stale-list traps
Fortnite maps. Several Creative maps reuse the Brainrot Tower Defense name and publish numeric codes. Those codes do not work in this Roblox place. If the redeem UI is an arcade machine instead of a top-right gift icon, you are in the wrong game.
Other Roblox TD titles. Lightning Dragon Limited and other studios ship similar Italian Brainrot tower defense games. A code from a different place ID will fail here even if the unit names overlap.
Trait and aura names. freeaura and FanumAteAura look like inventory items. They were promo codes. They are expired. Aura and trait progress now comes from gameplay, trait rerolls, and trait priority, not from typing those strings again.
Keep this expired archive as a stop list next to the gift icon, try only the Active and Check rows from the Codes Hub, and spend whatever still lands on a boosted Secret instead of a nostalgia 10-pull. Dead codes do not come back because you waited through one more weekly patch.

It is marked Check, not confirmed expired. Try it once. If Redeem fails, treat it as dead and wait for the next Discord announcement.
